Can BlueJay make my cart go fast?

  • BlueJay can performance tune your cart for higher top end speed, better acceleration, torque, hill climbing.
  • BlueJay can exceed the OEM limit of 6000 RPM for EV48-400-C controllers!
  • Your resulting speed will depend on numerous things such as your passenger and cargo weight, motor rating, tire size, etc.

Why isn’t the BlueJay DIY Application Free?

  • OEM programs like GEF12Host, FJ Programming Tool or ICONLive are not free! They are licensed software that have been pirated and redistributed on unofficial sites.
  • BlueJay is a fully supported multi-controller application offering features OEM tools lack, such as:
    • Save / Restore for quick rollback
    • Profiles for suggested tuning
    • Clear documentation in English for all common tuning parameters
      • Quick Start and User Guide
    • Email support, bug fixes and updates

What is needed to use BlueJay?

  • Windows laptop/PC with USB port and running Windows 10 or better
  • USB Programming cable for your controller from CartCables or eBay

Where can I find the latest BlueJay DIY version?

Why doesn't BlueJay have every parameter for all supported controllers?

  • In order to simply the tuning interface, BlueJay focuses on the important and common tuning parameters.
  • However, if you think parameters are missing and need to be available, email us!

I think I found a bug or something doesn't work right!

  • Sorry about that! Send us an email with description and screenshots and we'll investigate and make an update ASAP!

Do I need FDEV, FLIC or other data files for tuning FJ Controllers?

  • No, BlueJay does not require FDEV, FLIC or any OEM specific files for tuning FJ controllers.
  • BlueJay automatically detects the controller type and loads the correct parameters.

Do I need protocol.bin or other data files for tuning EV48-400-C Controllers?

  • No, BlueJay does not require protocol.bin or any OEM specific files for tuning EV48-400-C controllers.
  • BlueJay automatically detects the controller type and loads the correct parameters.

Do I need TFW-P*.xls or other data files for tuning Icon Tercel Controllers?

  • No - while we offer application support via email, we cannot provide custom tuning values for your setup.
